There is more than 1 way to update WordPress. It can be updated either automatically or manually. Let us see how to update wordpress automatically from the below steps
Step 1: Before Updating WordPress make sure you have a backup version of your site in case if something goes wrong. You can see here about how to backup a wordpress site
Step 2: Go to WordPress Home –> Updates
Step 3: Then click on “Update” as shown below
Step 4: Once you click on Update, it will start updating the wordpress and after updates are finished, you will get a screen saying that the update has been completed
Step 5: Incase if you feel you are more okay to do automatic updates of WordPress for minor version you can click on the link as shown below
After updating WordPress, it’s important to update WordPress plugins also
